Time to be THANKFUL....

It is the time of year to be thankful for everything we have and I am so blessed to have so much to be thankful for! I thank God everyday for everything he has given me. To name a few.....
  • my loving husband, Brian
  • my sweet baby boy, Jackson
  • my family
  • my friends
  • our health
  • my husband having a job that lets me stay home with Jackson
  • a safe place to live
These are just the most important! My list could go on and on but I won't bore you. Now on to what has filled my days since the last post. Halloween came and went and we loved handing out candy. We had so many trick or treaters that we ran out of candy an hour into it. We had to put a sign on the door to let people know we were out but we weren't the only ones. The whole neighborhood was running out. Now we know to buy more than 6 bags of candy for next year! I made my mom's homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner because it is a tradition in our family to have it every Halloween and I intend to carry it on. It was delicious. Jackson loved it. It was his first full meal of meat, vegetables, and noodles. Usually he just eats fruit and veggies that I have pureed for him.

After dinner we handed out candy and Jackson loved seeing all the kids come up to the door. I kept putting him in the living room to finish his bottle and he continued to throw it away and crawl to the door. It was so cute. He didn't want to go to bed. We look forward to next year when he is a little older and can enjoy it a bit more.

This is Jackson watching football one Saturday! He couldn't keep his eyes off it!

Then, Brian turned 25 on November 3! We didn't do too much because his birthday fell on a Wednesday. I got up to make him pumpkin spiced pancakes for breakfast and realized after I made them that we had no syrup so we had to eat them without. Then we went out to lunch a small Italian restaurant for a good friend's farewell. Jackson surprised Brian with his first edible arrangement and it was delicious! Then I made Brian a delicious dinner that he asked for and ended the night with some good ol' TV! We were able to continue the celebration on Friday because our good friend Elizabeth babysat Jackson for us. We went to Nami, a Japanese steakhouse, and to see Due Date. It was absolutely hilarious!!! We would go see it again. It will definitely be one we buy. And finally, Jackson took his first steps last Sunday! He was so cute. He walked towards a credit card.

Well, that's about it for now. We have company coming to visit so the rest of our month will be pretty busy. Brian's mom is coming for 4 days this weekend and Brian is running in the Warrior Dash in Austin. Then his sister will be joining us for Thanksgiving. And then to end the month we have the good ol' Iron Bowl!!! SO much to do and look forward to so until then.......... :)
